Information for Players: We will use a variety of special effects - including strobe lights, smoke (if we can find a suitable outdoor location to set up). There won't be lots of background reading. Costume should be pretty straight forward modern clothes.

The TV show "Englands Most Haunted Houses" has been through a rough few years - ever since the Blood Manor incident ratings have been sinking, replacing the presenters only made things worse and after last season the producers announced that there would be no more "Haunted".
The genre is still flourishing though - copy cat shows are still toping the ratings, especially "Spooked" which has regular guest appearances from the medium Derek Haggarty, the presenter Eve Meadows and the now celebrated occultist "David Walsh" - all of whom began their tv ghost hunting on "Englands Most Haunted Houses".
"Spooked" recently sent a small party to investigate a remote country house - it had been abandoned for many years although there were rumours of strange noises in the night and occasional disappearances in the area. They were due to broadcast live through the night, but a few minutes after nine the cameras went blank. None of the cast have been seen since. One of the support crew turned up last week in a hospital, completely out of his mind.
It's been in all the newspapers and the flurry of media attention is worth big bucks - the producers of "Englands Most Haunted Houses" have had to agree that it's worth a special - they have pulled together what was left of the Haunted team and sent you off to investigate - live!
Whatever you find it needs to make great television!
