The Tombstone Draw Poker Championship

The first annual Tombstone Draw Poker Championship is taking place during the weekend. Players are arriving from all over the country to take part and many local residents are also participating, in the hope of winning the grand prize of $10,000. There's gambling fever in the air as so many folks seem to want to take a shot at such a big pot. The town's saloons are doing a roaring trade, full of colourful strangers as well as the usual locals.

Folks say there's also likely to be at least one big show at one of the saloons, a horse race, a county fair and a sharp-shooting contest. So it's going to be a gala weekend here in Tombstone.

Playing Poker

Don't worry about playing a gambler character if you don't know anything about playing poker. We'll have "poker teachers" wandering around the game on Friday night to teach you the basics in half an hour or so. Poker played in the tournament will be five card draw, with no wild cards. The game rules for playing poker will also help improve the odds....
