1897 will be run at the West Retford Hotel in Retford in Nottinghamshire. The hotel is an elegant 18th century manor house set in three acres of lawns and gardens and provides the privacy required to encourage players to be able to dress in character without fear of embarrassment. The hotel possesses a separate dining room and bar area serving a wide range of dishes. Single and double rooms are available with full amenities.

The game will start around 8:00pm on Friday 22nd February and continue until lunchtime on Sunday 24th February 2008

We have negotiated a room rate of £35.00 per person per night with a £15.00 per person per night supplement for single occupancy. This rate will applies from Thursday 20th until Sunday 24th if you wish to come up early or stay over until the Monday.

Once again, we would like to administer the booking of the rooms centrally. On the registration form you will be able to select the nights and room type you require. If possible we would like you to provide credit card details on the registration form so that we can pass these to the hotel to secure your room booking.

If you would prefer not to put your credit card details on the registration form, please still complete the accommodation part of the form, and then once we have sorted out the room bookings, you will need to contact the hotel directly to provide them with the necessary information.

We will only be using the credit card details for securing the room booking with the hotel, they will not be used for any other purpose. You may choose how to settle your account with the hotel at the end of the event.

As at previous games there will be a scheduled break in the game on Saturday evening so that everyone gets at least one meal. And if the finances work out we will provide some kind of light refreshments after the game wrap on the Sunday.
