“The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition to be born in moments of revelation."
—J. Michael Straczynski

The year is 2491; the ancient gateways between the stars are finally reopening, and the far-flung colonies of Earth are re-establishing their relations after centuries of enforced isolation.

Earth itself is burned and uninhabitable, a testament to Humanity's past folly, but the children of Earth live on in artificial habitats scattered throughout Sol System, and on rediscovered colony worlds.

Threshold Station, lying at the edge of the Sol System Gate nexus, is home to a bustling community of Humans and aliens; a transit-point where travellers, diplomats and traders meet and mingle. It is a place where deals are done, fortunes are gained and lost, and the future is shaped; a place where shadowy secrets from the past lie waiting to be revealed, old grudges wait to be resolved, and where new discoveries can be found.

Gateways is a ‘hard’ science-fiction larp set in a universe of spaceships, and ‘Gates’ leading between solar systems, populated by alien civilisations, and a splintered Humanity with mindsets transformed by life on alien worlds.
